Paper accepted at ACL 2019

A paper co-authored by Dr. Tristan Miller has been accepted for publication at ACL 2019, the 57th Annual Meeting of the Association for Computational Linguistics. The conference will be held from July 28 to August 2, 2019 in Florence.

The article, entitled "Predicting humorousness and metaphor novelty with Gaussian process preference learning", describes a probabilistic method for learning to rank the humorousness of jokes and the novelty of metaphoric expressions. Co-authors include Dr. Edwin Simpson, Erik-Lân Do Dinh, and Prof. Iryna Gurevych of the Ubiquitous Knowledge Processing Lab at Technische Universität Darmstadt.
