Notes & Queries paper printed

A peer-reviewed paper by Dr. Tristan Miller, "Dmitri Borgmann's Rotas Square Articles, has been published in Notes & Queries.

The paper concerns a series of articles on the rotas square, a Latin palindromic word square whose history and translation have long puzzled scholars. The articles in question appeared in 1979 and 1980 in Word Ways: The Journal of Recreational Linguistics and were attributed to Dmitri A. Borgmann, the noted American writer on wordplay. However, there is much internal and external evidence that, taken together, compellingly supports the notion that Borgmann did not write the articles himself. Dr. Miller's paper surveys this evidence and solicits help in identifying the articles' original source.
